I have not heard from RSM in about a week or so. So I am wondering how he is managing. Although I am sure is over achieving ass is fine.
I do feel a little bad, for not updating as much as RSM would probably like, but since DH is now home after being away at [...]
From RSM:
A light breeze made an already pleasant morning under the trees even cooler, calmer. It was Sunday, and we were outside the chapel waiting on our Drill Sergeant to come retrieve us and take us back to the barracks.
Across from me sat a large, young boy with a face full of exaggerated features; large [...]

Hi, sweet eyes. And sorry, it’s me again. I am missing my RSM, badly.
Talk about a good guy, beyond the obvious, he has kept me in fresh camo pron for years. Which may sound vile to you married types and possibly just wrong to you military types, but it’s hard for a professional [...]
Happy Birthday to the incredibly beautiful and talented ArmyWifeToddlerMom!
It would so be overkill for someone like little ole me to tell you about someone as wonderful as she…but I will try. AWTM, all the peoples that I’ve met in this big, bad blodgeworld that mean anything at all to me, all think the world [...]

I have been thinking a lot about RSMs trip to “Army Basic Training Spa”. Wondering what it is like now. Can they have books? Do they get a day off?
I honestly have not known anyone that has gone through basic, for a while now. A couple of cousins, but I never [...]

I am surprised RSM allows my potty mouthed, poor spelling self over here in “the cabin”. He is crazier than I thought honestly.
Keys. A set of keys for months at a time! Now that is trust. SO now I can poke around in this cabin, and try and find a can of chef boyarde, or [...]

It’s rainy and cold up where I live, so I’ll take any opportunity I can to escape to the cabin. Don’t get me wrong, the Palace is still nice (although not entirely unpacked) but when your toes are cold, it just sucks being alone.
As a kid, my German Shepard was not a huge fan [...]
You are the one that lies close to me, whispers “hello, I’ve missed you quite terribly”
When RSM told of all the little things he has around for guests, he left out the stuffed animal he has here for me. It is the cutest, softest, snuggliest thing in the world. My own little furry [...]

So, do you ever come home half drunk after a night of laughter and think that if you hope hard enough, someone will be on the other side of the door to welcome you home?
Well, I do.
And there’s no one here.
Damn house sitting in the middle of no where!
Hey, this is T1G again.
I recently wrote a post on my own blog, trying to explain why I prefer to drive when I travel, instead of flying everywhere. Basically, I pointed out that when flying, you can only see… you can’t be.
Well, heading down I-57 in Illinois is one of those times when you?d rather [...]

I knew if I looked hard enough I’d find a secret stash in this cabin.
With a little bit of Eric’s help, I have uncovered RSM’s collection of Prince recordings … that’s right, PRINCE.
We are going to have one wicked, funky party at the cabin this weekend.

All I [...]
Aaaargh… stupid trackback spam! It’s been inundating RSM’s blog for the past few weeks and it’s getting about as bad as kudzu in Georgia. I’ve been giving it a taste of my beatin’ stick but it just keeps coming back. Going to be doing some more serious weeding, will do my best not to kill [...]

I couldn’t really sleep last night. All these new and different mountain sounds were too damn loud kept me thinking. So I went over to check out this library I keep hearing RSMs guests rave about.
Yeah, um … about that library …
I didn’t find a Gas Stationese dictionary or anything like that, but [...]

RSM is a guy who really appreciates knowledge, and the opportunity to learn new things. I know he’s taken plenty of supplementary courses, from Underwater Basket Weaving, to Crochet, and Ceramics to Lamaze (don’t ask). With all of his learning, I wonder if he’s ever taken Gas Stationese, the language of Gas Station Attendunces Attendants. [...]

Wow, RSM has got a squeeky door there. I’ll have to fix that for him while he’s gone.
Doesn’t look like anyone else is here yet. I’m not sure how many of us house sitters are actually planning to show up, but I’m hoping its a good time … I’ve got dibs [...]
