Not so hot

The last day has been a rush.

I spoke too soon about my mother’s improvement. She had some problems. She was quickly scheduled for surgery. According to her sisters she’s looking a lot better now and she was able to talk and laugh and joke with me a little bit.But I am here now. With any luck she can be discharged today and my aunts are already ready for her to stay with them for a little while. She spends enough time at their place anyway.

The hardest part is seeing someone who has always been such a vibrant, healthy, active, amazing woman whom I love lying there, barely able to move, hurting. And I can only stand by.

But we’ll get through it.

(and get through this whole thing where I still have to get some gear for OCS, finalize an almost half million dollar electronics plan on a new facility, and leave in 7 days for OCS and one of the hardest things I will do in my life. At least all this other stress is keeping my mind off of the upcoming hazing.)

Well, I guess there’s nothing else for us to do but give you lots of virtual love & hugs, as well as a punch in the arm, for the next 7 days to not only get you through this crisis period, but also to give you a spiritual and emotional boost before you go off into the wide-blue yonder! Oh and there’s something at the end for your mom.

Oh my. I hope she’s on the mend and a happy new year to you and yours. Congrats on the promotion.

Many prayers for her, for you, and for the people that will try their best to haze you at OCS – and who will fail. You’re going to be great.

I hope you know you are always in my thoughts and prayers, and now your mom is added in there too.

RSM, you are such an amazing person.
