When the Smoke Clears

Thanks to a little bird I have been made aware that RSM is fine, and doing well at OCS.  He is on the fast track.
No need for letters, he is quite busy without them.
Stop in here and wish him well instead.

No excuse for my failure to update everyone.
I leave in a few hours. Out of the loop again. Luckily my readership has dropped off to a select group of friends so there’s no anxiety about maintaining a blogsite. Those with keys should still have keys. Please post.

Luckily I was not with a buddy of mine today. He went to Subway and showed such restraint, though he claims the reason is that he was in so much shock he had no idea how to react.

Mom is out of the hospital. She had to have emergency surgery, I went.
I have to say whatever the hospital she was staying in did to recruit their nurses they had better keep right on doing it. I have worked in healthcare. I know how much nurses have had to take on with “paperwork” [...]

The last day has been a rush.
I spoke too soon about my mother’s improvement.She had some problems. She was quickly scheduled for surgery. According to her sisters she’s looking a lot better now and she was able to talk and laugh and joke with me a little bit.But I am here now. With any [...]

By the way, everyone, I almost sent this out for the holidays, BUT decided I would hold off. Please enjoy a few little holiday greetings. Make sure the kids are not around.

Well I don’t get to talk with my mom much. Apparently her hearing has been effected pretty badly and so when I call her room, she often can’t hear the phone ringing.
With good fortune she should be out of the hospital by tomorrow.
