While I was away, I had a student staying at the cabin, watching after things, being a general caretaker. No, he didn’t stain the deck like I keep telling people I would like to have done, but still, while his room was a complete wreck, the rest of the house was maintained. He even cleaned the kitchen better than I ever did.
He’s heavily involved in politics and talking with him is always interesting. It was a shame, though, watching him drift from a somewhat conservative standpoint to where he is now.
Me: Oh come on, when I left all you cared about was Obama.
Him: I wasn’t that big a fan…
Me: You completely dismissed every criticism I had, and now you’re using those exact same criticisms as the reasons why you no longer support him and have shifted to… I can’t say it… her.
Him: She’s an experienced politician…
Me: Well maybe since I was right a while back on Obama, I might be right in this case as well…
Him: This is different.
Me: Just please read Atlas Shrugged. Hell, there are at least 6 different copies lying around the cabin right now, plus I have it in PDF and MP3.
Him: Yeah, I don’t know. I hear that everyone who reads it ends up becoming a Libertarian.
Me: Nowwww you’re getting it…
there are people that claim to have penises that plan to cast a vote for her? baffling. unreal. in a military school? how does this happen?
does her utter disgust for the military showed repeatedly not stir any disgust with your “cabin boy”? please, i’m an old lady, far removed from the liberal college scene. enlighten me.
Heck, I was a Libertarian before I started reading Atlas Shrugged. Still in the middle of it.
it’s too early to decide for whom to vote.
Just show him Hillary’s picture as Gen Petraeus was testifying- it’s truly scary and very indicative of her feelings towards the military.
I tried to get the Young SGT to read Atlas Shrugged. I believe his copy is floating in the Caribbean somewhere…
OMG – not even I want her to win and you know how I am.
