It’s not goodbye…

Last post from me. I’m leaving in a few minutes. Independence Day will be spent in-processing. Life is about to change dramatically. Basic training awaits… then whatever may happen beyond that. There will be challenges, demons to face, and a chance to return, but I do not know to what I will come back, as I will not be here to fight my own battles and those who wish to take me down will take advantage of the fact I am not on the field to block their advance. Honestly. I have faith whatever it is, whatever difficulty may ensue, it will be a blessing. I hope the same for you.

There are others who will watch after the cabin. And watch after the online cabin. It will be hot, so here is a pic of the cabin in winter. Keep your thoughts on this comfortable (for me) time of year. Yes, this really is the place. It’s modest, but it’s mine:

    That’s like my son who had to report to his first assignment on Dec 24th in Germany while his unit was still in Iraq and not due back for 4 more weeks.

    Ah the Army. I’m betting he’ll be sitting around for several days. I’m even betting there is nothing happening at all tomorrow at the inprocessing center.

    I picked up a copy of Atlas Shrugged today. Fitting, I believe. Can’t wait to discuss it with you when you get back. Many prayers and good thoughts are with you as you head out on this adventure. You are amazing and I cannot wait to hear your stories when you return.
