Briefs & Updates

* The Jeep hit 100,000 miles this morning on the way to get an oil change and service. For some reason they left a check-sheet that indicated I needed transmission service but didn’t say why. Dang it. Another expense.
* I missed the wedding. As I said.
* All my paperwork is being processed, with a possible explanation of what that means next week.
* I’ve personally converted 28 people to happy Macintosh users. (this means I helped them place the order or at least spec out the order.) The latest is my Viking Medic on his quest for Valhalla who was over last night smiling and enjoying his new laptop as I showed him a few things he could do much more easily and quickly now.
* The well pump needs repair again. Dang it.
* In spite of hell at work, I have some new, exciting projects it looks like I’ll be starting in the short term. Could mean travel.
* I’ll have a houseguest for the summer.
* Another of my medics, one who said I was part of the reason he became a medic, earned his EFMB: Expert Field Medical Badge today. I’m so freakin’ proud and envious at the same time. It was his first time taking it and he made it. The normal pass rate for this course is 8%. Yes… only 8% pass and he did it his first time.
Is all that obscure enough?
‘Service’ is different than ‘repair’. Might just need a lube and seal check. I think that is SOP at 100K.
As for the paperwork, I’m assuming this is a good thing and therefore will keep my fingers crossed. Ditto on the good stuff at work.
And yay for the medic – I’ve heard about the EFMB – NOT an easy thing to do!
I wanna Mac…*sniff*
I will have a Mac.
I will.
I will, I will, I will.
I hope all of this is heading you in a direction you are wanting to go in.
Keep that compass pointed north!
You sound great… good sign.
HFS is right about the “service” thing. It might just need a fluid change at that point in time. I’ll have to ask my husband as he’s pretty knowledgeable about that stuff.
Sorry about the wedding.
Yay on the paper work!
I’ll have to email you a question about Macs.
ACK on the well pump…
Yay on the new projects.
Have fun with the houseguest
And MAJOR Congrats to your medic on the medal!!! That’s wonderful.
Wonderful accomplishment by your medic… that’s something of which to be proud!
Time to breathe…
*hugs*
Congrats on the spreading of the Mac wealth! One of critique partners bought her first Mac (the Mini Mac) recently and then turned around and bought a MacBook to go with it. I love being that kind of a pusher.
Did you take a picture of the odometer at 100k?
You’re forgiven. I still love you.
