Sometimes I write things intended to be funny.
Sometimes I write things intended to share a moment or thought.
Sometimes I write to celebrate the men and women in uniform who’s friendship I am privileged to enjoy.
Sometimes I write some fiction.
Sometimes I write things that recount difficult moments.
I don’t do it for attention. I don’t do it to garner sympathy. I’m a strong person. If something were too difficult to take, you wouldn’t be reading it here.
I do it so my friends can keep up with what is going on. I do it to so some people can see a different perspective or a glimpse into the unfamiliar.
I do it because I write.
…and you do it well, so please keep it up. Have fun tonight!
Okay…
So who are you arguing or explaining yourself?
Why do you need to explain your reasons for writing to…. anyone?
If a person is not getting your writing, they should either: go read a newspaper, because they write for their comprehension level, or not ready any blogs period!
You write beautifully and perfectly well, and if someone doesn’t get you it’s their issue. And if THEY have a problem with what I’m writing, let me handle them, ’cause I can take care of myself and sorta need someone to make my day!
Yo! Everything your previous two esteemed commenters said. Your blog rocks, and statistically speaking, did you know that you are one of three blogs on my roll which have the word “smoke” in it?
Exciting stuff, I know.
Keep writing… keep writing… keep writing.
Your words are beautiful.
I don’t do it for attention. I don’t do it to garner sympathy.
I do it to so some people can see a different perspective or a glimpse into the unfamiliar.
I do it because I write.
And as you can see it is appreciated and respected for all those reasons, and for some of us, additional reasons.
Thank you for sharing with us. You’re my favorite.
“I do it because I write” – and thank goodness you do!
