The Perfect Escape

Big Sis Princess Cat here …

While RSM is away, I wish I had the chance to go visit his little mountain cabin. I think it would be the perfect getaway for me to hide in right now.

The woods and the animals right outside his front door, the library full of fantasies and memories, but most of all, the peace to come to terms with life’s mean little tricks.

I hate to bring sour news to a friend’s blog but the thought of his humble home is comforting right now. It reminds me of what visiting my grandmother was like.

Her house is at the top of a small hill, up a steep driveway, backed into a wooded area you would never know is there. Deer regularly walk through her backyard, little critters scamper across her decks and porches looking for food. Her neighbors are close enough to visit but far enough away you don’t hear a peep from them but their dogs barking from time to time.

To visit her was like a trip back in time and a step outside any reality that existed outside those walls.

RSM is lucky to have such a similar place to call home…
