Well my Blog-sis Cat apparently wants to learn a little more about me... (let's face it... she can't resist me) and now, instead of regaling you with interesting words about cold weather, music and depressions, I have to come up with some other crap. I do apologize. Go spank her... no... wait... um... tell her you'll spank her, then don't. And before anyone one asks, the things I did at her place weren't "habits" so much as experiments...

I have to eat pop-tarts by first eating the crust off the edges, then eating the center. Same with sandwiches... and if they are cut, it has to be on a diagonal. I dislike rectangular sandwich halves. They just don't taste right.

I've developed a strange appreciation for Japanese things and wish I liked the food more, but I hate the taste of cooked seafood. I know the difference between Japanese and Chinese chopsticks and dislike the Chinese ones. When I take my lunch to work, I use bento boxes (partly to keep from using throw-away packaging.) I have a set of steel and birch chopsticks I keep with me most of the time and use when I am uncomfortable with the cleanliness of a particular place's cutlery (though it doesn't stop me from eating the food), or if I just want to be a bit of an eccentric on the plane.

I have a playing card fixation. I seem to always be buying decks, and not necessarily unusual ones either, just harder to find than the regular Poker-sized ones. I despise the latest round of Bicycle Poker sized that include all that Texas Hold-Em crap. For day to day playing I like the Hoyle Bridge-sized best, and for fun/something slightly unusual, Bicycle Tactical or the Black Tiger decks.

When I read history books, I usually snack on crackers and drink spring water. When I read fantasy novels, dark wheat-bread rolls with honey butter and juice.

I have "silence" days. There will be a couple of days a month on which I will not talk at all the entire day. It means I won't answer the phone and when I interact with someone at a store, it will just be with nods of my head, but self-checkout has helped with that a great deal. I can type away like crazy, but it is important for me to remember that much of what people have to say is worthless, especially me, and the greatest communication happens in our movements and actions. (naturally, I do not have children so I can get away with this.) On these days I will generally not have music playing either.

I'm not going to "tag" anyone, just mention some names because I'd be really interested to see what they said, and if they happen to read this... cool:
That1Guy, Amelie, Armywife, Kelly, Christina, and although I am a little scared... Joan.
