The Simpsons are all going Middle Eastern:
Homer=Omar
Bart=Badr
Abdul=Gwynneth
I wonder if Marge has to get that hair under a Burqa.
Even more frightening when you think about it: the number of seasons the Simpsons have been on. I’m sorry, but it’s hard for me to wrap my brain around the fact that most of the students in the next round of high school graduates will never remember having lived in a world without the Simpsons.
Will this be their defining moment the way Kajagoogoo defined us? What will they do if the show finally stops in, say, its 20th season? Now I’m normally a conservative but surely we can build a government program to mandate the continuation of the series in spite of losing ratings… kind of like the Charlie Rose show.
Can we not teach the children that life moves on? We survived the cancellations of Shazam, Isis, Ark 2 and Electra Woman and Dyna Girl.
Pity the children. Pity them.
